COMMITMENT TO DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION
In my roles as an instructor and mentor am firmly committed to fostering a safe and inclusive space for students of all backgrounds. I believe that diverse perspectives strengthen learning and collaboration, and I actively seek to foster a sense of belonging for students with various backgrounds and identities (e.g., across race, ethnicity, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, socioeconomic status, disability, neurodiversity, religion, national origin, etc.) in psychology courses and research. Through my research on stress and emotion regulation, goal pursuit, and body diversity, I aim to gather a better understanding of how varied social identities shape lived experiences. Moreover, I aim to make psychological research and knowledge accessible to people with diverse backgrounds.
